Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a clear view of the church making it a great spot for photos, although the rooms got quite hot despite the cold weather and noise from the heating and ventilation systems was disruptive. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful, with special praise for Elliott's exceptional service. The location is excellent, right next to the cathedral and close to everything we wanted to do. The dining experience was good, with a nice selection of quality food, but there were some hiccups in service such as missing bacon. Overall, a nice place with some minor room issues and good service.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel, with fantastic breakfast each morning. The rooms were cozy, although the small sofa was a bit of a health and safety hazard. The staff were incredibly friendly and caring, making my stay very enjoyable.
My stay at the hotel was an overall enjoyable experience. The rooms were more than adequate, offering everything we could possibly need, including a great view of the Minster. However, some amenities were not in working condition, which was a downside.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of comfort and some challenges. The rooms, although clean and cozy, were a bit of a squeeze for someone with chronic osteoporosis. The staff provided exceptional service, going out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. The location couldn't be better, though noise was a downside. Dining could have been better, but the overall experience was positive.
I had a mix of experiences at this hotel, from the impressive view of York Minster from my top-floor room to the noisy night due to the heating system. The staff were friendly and attentive, although some were inexperienced. The location, next to the Minster, was fabulous, but a bit challenging at night. The dining was good but not exceptional, with a nice selection. Overall, a decent stay with some ups and downs.
The hotel's location is superb, close to all attractions and just a short walk from the train station. The rooms were cozy but lacked windows, making them quite warm and noisy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to assist us. The hotel's dining options were decent, with a nice view of York Minster. Despite some drawbacks, the overall experience was pleasant and convenient.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were a bit small and faced the rear of the building, making them dark and airless, but I could open the window. However, the air conditioning units outside created some noise. On the plus side, the room was well-appointed and had a trouser press.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-great experiences. The staff was excellent and very helpful, but there was a slight delay during check-in due to an issue with one of the suppliers. The room, while on the first floor, was cozy, but the layout was a bit cramped with tricky access to the bathroom.
My stay at the hotel was lovely, with clean and well-equipped rooms that exceeded my expectations. The full breakfast served daily was a great convenience, especially when I had early morning travel plans. The only downside might be the slightly high price for what it offers, but overall, it was a comfortable experience.
The hotel is quirky and cozy with attentive and engaging staff making the stay enjoyable. However, rooms were not as quiet as requested but had a unique attic room feel. The location is excellent with stunning views of York Minster, and dining options were fantastic despite limitations.
